Two-Rope Belay
The two-rope belay system allows for safe top-roping on steep terrain and is the system of choice for paraclimbing competitions. This system is great for campus climbers since the steeper angle prevents body drag and the nature of top-ropeing removes the excess energy demands of clipping while lead climbing. Not needing to clip also makes this a good system for upper limb amputees and persons with limb differences who may find clipping challenging. The lower anchor point prevents the climber from swinging too far away from the wall and subsequently into the wall after a fall. The two-rope belay requires two belayers and does not allow for progress capture meaning when you fall you must lower to the ground and start again from the beginning.
